Manilkara Zapota commonly knowns as “Sapodilla” are long lived and can grow up to 98 ft. and trunk to 4.5 ft. in diameter. Had little white inconspicuous flowers.

The fruit is like a large berry and when ripe the skin is saggy and no white “chicle” is released from stem when picked. Prefers warm tropical weather, and dies easily in below freezing temps. From germinations will take anywhere from 5-8 years to bear fruit.
